Eight basketball federations sent their best young athletes to Slovenj Gradec to compete for the U14 title. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and the host nation, Slovenia, brought plenty of energy, talent, and competitive spirit to the court.
Beyond the competition, the tournament offered the players a valuable opportunity to experience international basketball, test themselves against new opponents, and learn from one another. Off the court, new friendships were formed and lasting memories created, making the tournament about much more than the final results. It was a celebration of youth basketball, international cooperation, and the shared passion for the game.
The U14 Slovenia Ball tournament also offers young referees a valuable opportunity to officiate international games and gain experience on the international stage. The Basketball Federation of Slovenia invites its most promising young officials, selected based on their performance at a refereeing camp in Postojna, highlighting the tournament’s commitment to developing all aspects of youth basketball.
A sincere thank you to everyone who made this event possible. The organizers, sponsors, referees, coaches, and, most importantly, the players. Your support, dedication, and passion brought the tournament to life.
We would also like to thank all the fans who came to Slovenj Gradec to support their teams, as well as everyone who followed the action from home. Your enthusiasm and support helped make the U14 Slovenia Ball a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
