Bulgaria opened the first game with an eight-point run, keeping Poland scoreless in the opening minutes. After Poland finally found the basket, Bulgaria quickly restored its defensive intensity, and with four minutes left in the first quarter, the score was 18:2. Poland then found its rhythm and fought back, cutting the deficit to just six points by halftime (29:35). Five minutes into the second half, Poland tied the game at 41:41 and soon after took the lead. From there, they took control of the game, heading into the final quarter with an 11-point advantage (56:45). Poland continued to extend its lead and was up 75:57 with just over a minute remaining. But the game was far from over. Bulgaria responded with an 11-point run to cut the deficit to 68:75 and kept fighting until the final seconds. They even added another three-pointer, but it was not enough to complete the comeback. Poland took their first win this year with 79:74. The most efficient player was Jakub Krzyżanowski with 12 points, 16 rebounds and two assists for an efficiency rating of 27.

Romania started stronger, taking a 17:10 lead after the opening quarter. The second quarter, however, belonged to Croatia. Four minutes in, Croatia took the lead and held on until the final minute, when Savu hit a step-back three-pointer followed by a lay-up, sending Romania into halftime with a one-point advantage (32:31). The game remained closely contested after the break, with neither team able to build a significant lead. Croatia finally moved ahead in the final minute of the third quarter, taking a 53:51 lead into the final period. Croatia opened the fourth quarter with a three-pointer and never looked back. They dominated the final ten minutes, outscoring Romania 22:9 to secure a convincing 75:60 victory and their first win of the tournament. The most efficient player was Josip Perajica with 23 points, 16 rebounds and five assists for an efficiency rating of 26.

Both teams started the game with high energy. Hungary took an early lead, but two consecutive three-pointers from Slovenia not only put the hosts back in the game (17:11), but also lifted the crowd. Slovenia held the lead until the beginning of the second quarter (21:16), when Hungary went on a 16-point run to take control at 32:21. Hungary remained in front at halftime, leading 37:29. Slovenia fought hard after the break, but Hungary proved too strong. The visitors maintained their advantage throughout the second half and secured an 80:64 victory to open their tournament with a win. The most efficient player was Ádam Mónus with seven points, nine rebounds and two assists for an efficiency rating of 17.

Another tight game saw Bosnia and Herzegovina take a narrow 41:36 lead into halftime. They came out strongly after the break, winning the third quarter 30:18 and extending their advantage to 71:54 heading into the final period. With a 17-point lead, Bosnia and Herzegovina put themselves in a strong position heading into the closing minutes. Beautiful action from both sides continued throughout the final quarter, bringing the last game of the day to an exciting conclusion. In the end, Bosnia and Herzegovina secured a well-deserved 94:75 victory. The most efficient player was Pavle Račić with amazing 31 points, 16 rebounds and one assists for an efficiency rating of 44.
